A sample reference for generating an iCal file through the Better ics API.

The Better ics API accepts event data and returns a calendar resource suitable for your delivery workflow.

Generate a calendar file

Send an authenticated request containing the event fields required by your use case.

POST /v1/events
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Content-Type: application/json

Required fields

  • title: Human-readable event title.
  • start: ISO 8601 start date and time.
  • end: ISO 8601 end date and time.
  • timeZone: IANA time zone identifier.

Response

A successful request returns the generated event identifier and its calendar delivery URL.
